What is The Family Well?

They don’t send you home from the hospital with a manual... and honestly, why not?

In a society that offers so little support during one of life’s most profound transitions, it’s no wonder so many parents feel overwhelmed. Becoming a parent can shake your sense of self, test every limit, and rock you to your core.

We’re all doing our best. But how can a family thrive when the adults steering the ship feel like they’re treading water?

At The Family Well, I offer individualized support designed to bring confidence, clarity, and connection to your role as a parent or caregiver — whether that role is brand new, long-established, or still on the horizon. When you are well, the whole family can be well.

Meet Kat

Kathryn Gramigna Sabath, LMSW, RYT200

Hi! My name is Kat — and I’m so glad you’re here.

I founded The Family Well to help parents find fulfillment and wholeness as individuals and in their partnerships because I truly believe that this is the path to make generational impact on whole communities.

I began my career in education, teaching in both traditional and innovative school settings including the I PROMISE School, founded by the LeBron James Family Foundation. While I loved teaching, I grew increasingly demoralized by the limitations imposed by the red tape and standardization that I knew harmed families from all walks of life. But my work with families wasn’t done, it was simply evolving.

I went on to earn my Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University, specializing in advanced clinical practice. During my graduate training, I worked with pregnant and postpartum moms and babies in a residential shelter, as well as at Silver Hill Hospital in their Triumph program for residential trauma treatment. I hold certifications as a registered yoga teacher and have specialized training in mindfulness, child development, and holistic family wellness.

My approach is integrative, warm, and deeply attuned. I offer high-touch support for parents navigating the nuanced realities of modern family life…whether you're leading a company, a household, or both. My clients are discerning, intentional caregivers who value insightful parenting, their own emotional well-being, and meaningful partnership or coparenting. Together, we create a trusting space to both deeply explore and do the real-life work in a way that honors your vision for your identity, your family, and the larger life you're building.

I live in Redding, Connecticut with my husband, our two daughters, and our two dogs. When I’m not working with families, you can find me teaching yoga, hiking, painting, reading, or cooking something new.
